So today I’m cheating again…

I’ve been working 12+ hours a day and not getting home until about 6:00 am, which is not the norm for my job, so my sleep cycle is broken, My truck too has been broken into, leaving me with a shitload of glass everywhere, and My Girl’s father passed away. Crazy fucking week… and it’s only thursday.

So today I’m cheating a little bit before I go in for work, it’s almost 3pm now, and I start in a half hour and only woke up about an hour ago. I needed some stumbleupon.

And it pays off! You get a link to a very funny comic that I think pretty much sum’s up our market today.

So today Ive started cleaning up my phone. Im now no longer using palringo but have switched to 2 other apps.
One works great the other for full control.

Nimbuzz is the great service that also supports SKYPE connections! (givin your in a wifi connection) and the other is imov messenger basic. Its ugly, but allows me to do all of my own network transports on my own XMPP network instead of the others hosts (such as palringo and nimbuzz) So ugly or not its really the one Ill be using the most. One other issue with it is it seems that it used to use the top section for ads or the like, but now it only displays a page not found error. Personally Ill take that over ads anyways!

Ive also done a soft reboot after uninstalling palringo but its still looking for it on startup and displaying an error. If you know how to fix this, please post in the comments. Even if you have to get ugly and go through the registry.

Still missing that big keyboard though!

Ugh…

So Crown Royal is a good time, and I had a good birthday. Thanks to everyone that was there! Love you guys.

and of course Im back to using my phone only again. I must say that after only 11 days it really was nice to get back to that keyboard. But I know that I can make it the rest of the month now at least.

Also I havent even had on my nicotine patch today and so far so good! So thats exciting. (mabye Im still a little drunk)

So it’s my birthday today! Not going to be much of a technical post, nor is it going to be very long, as it’s now 2:30 am … and I’m tired.

Works got me worn out. Like seriously. Just when I think I might be able to cope with the changes they’re making, the lack of followthrough on managment’s side, and whathave you, it get’s worse.

So for my birthday, I plan on sleeping in. Curtins are drawn (VERY Thick dark purple, almost black) Roomates cat is already outside so I don’t have to keep the door cracked to avoid the 4 am meows as it sleeps on the foot of my bed (it’s more my cat now anyways, but I just refuse to claim responsibility because of the lack of my roomates own responsibility’s. Well at least when it comes to a living being … ) And I’ve double checked my alarms and they’re all turned off.

As much as I really do look forward to sleeping in, I have a feeling it’s just not in the cards. Let’s see how this year get’s it’s start.

(Oh, yea and it’s my birthday, and I’ll post from my PC today if I damn well feel like it and before you ask, I’m now 31 year’s old. )

Alright, so it’s not as cool as a full sized keyboard that plugis into my phone (where is that accessory anyways!) but it is the next best thing (but you’ll see why I kind of concider it cheating)

It’s an app called MyMobiler and what it does is sync with your phone and display it on your PC so not only do you get to view it on a much larger screen, but you can interact with it and use the mouse and keyboard! It’s AWESOME!

However I only am using it due to an IM Conversation that after about a half hour of constant typing I needed a break.

So I suppose that’s my current limit. 30 min’s typing on the keyboard and it’s worth breaking down and doing it the easy way.

I am still relying on the processing power of the phone as well as it’s data network and applications to post all this, it’s just a little easier being I’m cheating (kinda)

So that’s where we’re at. Still no problems, I’ve got a few “today” screens that I’ll be posting for all of you mobile users that actually view this on your devices.

I hope you all remember that in the future as I’ve recieved a few messages about the “Mobile Only” Posts not having anything. WRONG!

Being I mentioned the iphone and being the apple hater I am, I figured I’d make another quick software recommendation. Rockbox.org
if you have an ipod that you would like to spruce up, install rockbox. Not only is it free, allows you to dual boot your ipod (NOT iphone ipod touch) with the old apple software or the new rockbox software which allows you to play almost any audio format you could want. OGG, FLAC, Monkey Audio etc.
Play doom on your ipod! (Yes even in greyscale!) get about 20 other games and quite a few other apps already installed, and non destructive as well, so you can uninstall it and not have to worry about bricking anything. All the old stuff remains!

You can also put music in it anywhere so gone are the days of copying your friends music in weird ways, just dump them in the rockbox and get playing!
